“In honor of radio station KEXP’s “Turn It Up!” benefit, DK was commissioned to make a project honoring the local music scene. The event generated proceeds for the treasured non-profit radio organization as they moved into a new home in Seattle Center.
DK was one of many creative agencies involved, and also the only one foolhardy enough to produce a full-fledged music video in such a short time span. We created “Where I Go” — a frenetic comic-book-noir short set to the moody jams of Seattle surf goths La Luz.”
I alluded to this project previously. While the art direction changed and the typography I created was not used, I had the opportunity to be on set as well as help with some initial storyline development and various art department needs for the video.
We spent ten hours in a giant studio running around and breathing more than our fair share of fog from the machine we rented. I’m impressed with this crew continually. Andrew J.S. spearheaded the vision of this project with support from many phenomenal coworkers.
