Note: You’ll have to turn it up a bit. My equipment and resources are humble.
This was my gift to my father on this past Dad’s Day. He wrote this song in 1985 in Japan at a time when he was working with YWAM. He told me the song came about like this: one evening while reading the bible, God told him to pick up his guitar because He was going to give my dad a song. Within ten minutes, Cease Striving was complete. The lyrics are taken from Pslam 46 and a bit of 47.
The credit of the idea to re-do this song belongs to my mother. By the time I actually got started, I had about a week to do it but I believe that God, knowing how much this would mean to my father, inspired the ideas that came together in that time.
