Made a quick little video of our meet up with the attendees of Sunday morning Lake Washington Cars and Coffee. We bought this little car in January and drove it up from LA. Being a California car for life, some things had never been tested but thankfully the engine was in top shape. Seeing as it rained all three days of our drive up through California, we gave the windshield wipers a hard workout, found out the heater cables were disconnected, and discovered some seals were missing as evidenced by the pools of water collecting under our seats. It is crazy how you forget the magic a year held. Looking back, I see such an abundance of incredible moments that, at the time, didn’t feel as special as they look now. I’d like to work on observing and being thankful for what’s happening right in front of me but even if that isn’t entirely possible, an exercise such as this brings so much joy! Maybe I’ll do it again sometime but this year, I’m going to try to just live it.Read More
“In honor of radio station KEXP’s “Turn It Up!” benefit, DK was commissioned to make a project honoring the local music scene. The event generated proceeds for the treasured non-profit radio organization as they moved into a new home in Seattle Center.
DK was one of many creative agencies involved, and also the only one foolhardy enough to produce a full-fledged music video in such a short time span. We created “Where I Go” — a frenetic comic-book-noir short set to the moody jams of Seattle surf goths La Luz.”
