Today I became the nice, old age of 21.
But here's the actual point of this post:
I finally watched this film. Silver Screen Society is a wonderful site and they scheduled me to do a poster in June, the theme of the month being 2001: A Space Odyssey. I was enthralled by the visuals of but thoroughly mystified by the plot. It struck me as an art piece rather than entertainment, which I enjoyed. I was looking for a detail, anything that would give away its era (1968), exposing a tiny crack in its timeless facade. But I found nothing noteworthy! It impressed me, especially the typography. From the titles to the computer data screens, it was all still relevant and well done. Props, serious props. I suggest you watch if you haven't, bearing in mind all that I've just told you.
It also takes time. Don't expect an action thriller.
